Hi I have 1 problem with the latest update. I use TX5 using SOC S905x and use id 103 but after Install I turned off the power and unplugged the SD card but my TVbox can't boot but hangs at BootLogo I tried inserting the SD card again and it boots up again perfectly normal, maybe that Armbian-Install didn't work at all. I tried re-flashing the box's stock img but nothing changed. I tried with 2 Kernel versions. Please help.

103 is not your device. There is no installation option for tx5 yet. Which dtb file and u-boot file did you use in the sd card?

anhctm1997 commented 2 years ago

i used file meson-gxl-s905x-p212.dtb and u-boot-p212.bin

Did you have the original Android TV in the TV box before you wrote it?

anhctm1997 commented 2 years ago

Yes I flashed Box's original android tv 6.0 firmware.

try 5.4 kernel

anhctm1997 commented 2 years ago

IMG_20220322_192238 i tried to try with Kernel 5.4 but after using armbian-install command it shows a line like that and everything stands still no longer working. have to unplug and restart the device to get everything back to normal.but I still need to insert the SD card for it to work.

ophub commented 2 years ago

If 5.4 can't boot from emmc, it means that the bootloader does not support writing to emmc. Can only be used on sd card.

Well thank you very much. I will close the issue.

Check this device to see if anyone has successful experience in installing a third-party system. It may be that the bootloader is locked. Generally speaking, the unlocked emmc can be used with 5.4 kernel
