2 boxes bricked in 1 week after firmware update #1953

Device Information SOC: S905x3 Model H96 Max X3 / 64GB

Armbian Version Start Version: Armbian_23.08.0_amlogic_s905x3_bullseye_5.15.129_server_2023.09.02

After installation of the above version to emmc I upgraded to 24.2 and rebooted successfully. After that I tried to switch the kernel to 6.1.68. The upgrade ran without errors but the box does not start and even the USB Burning tool does not detect the box anymore. This is the 2nd box broken on my desk after the same procedure.

Is there another way to reactivate my boxes??

What was wrong with the procedure I did??

Short the shorting points on the motherboard to enter the flashing mode. The specific method can be found in the documentation.
