Part of the message text reappears when deleted

Reproduce:

Write some text on the first line of the comment/text area
Delete the written text using backspace all the way to the beginning of the line
See some parts of the text coming back

This seems to happen only on the first line and when the cursor is reaching the beginning of that line.
