A question, why was this project started? Adminer - http://www.adminer.org/
does the same thing - single file phpmyadmin replacement. But they support
mysql and mssql etc too. Just wondering, you must have had a reason?

I can't reproduce this. I did what you said, and it worked fine for me. This
might have to do with XAMPP. Other people have reported problems with that.
This project was started before I knew about Adminer. By the time I found about
it, the project was already in a usable state and gaining popularity. I'm now
trying to make it better than Adminer specifically for SQLite so that people
have a reason to use it instead.

I'm not on the programming committee, but my vote is for phpliteadmin instead
of Adminer simply because it seems further ahead in the dev cycle than Adminer.
Also, Adminer seems to have an overly ambitious goal, in my humble opinion.
