Search as you type feature issue #205

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Say I have a page called "follow up", I click on either the treeview or
listview pane and press 'f' on my keyboard, the textbox will popup with
the letter f but if I continue to type and press 'o', nothing happens. The
text box doesn't get updated.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is the search finds the note being searched. What
happens instead is the text box stops searching after one character.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 0.6.1 on Windows XP.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have this issue as well (v.0.7.1 on Win 7 Ultimate) but I don't think it's
limited to just typing more than one character in the search box. In my case,
the entire interface freezes for 3-5 seconds before accepting any inputs
(keyboard or mouse).

I'm assuming this is an issue with the GTK/Windows port or something. I've
never thought the Gnome search-as-you-type box worked all that well in Linux
anyway.
