I've been using keepnote a lot lately as a combination of daily research 
journal and general information store. I occasionally link to other notes from 
my daily journal entries but I find that to be a concentration-breaker 
especially if the only reason I was linking was to increase the likelihood of 
finding the linked-to note later.

Really what would be nice is some kind of timeline view where I could quickly 
see what notes were edited and when. I'm not sure what goes on in the backend 
of keepnote but I suspect most or all of the needed info is being collected in 
a database somewhere. What would be needed is a nice GUI that would allow to 
quickly browse through the timeline. It should be possible to *really quickly* 
pull up a clickable list of notes that I edited during a particular day, week, 
month, etc.
