Search++ tab not resizable after resizing TB main window when resized window too small to show all #178

ThomasHeinrichSchmidt commented 2 years ago

I'm able to open the new Search++ dialog using the corresponding 🔍︎++ button on the toolbar. But - I cannot resize the right pane enough to be able to see my mail folders. There is lots of free space between the elements of the right pane but it does not allow to get any smaller: issue

thanks. which OS and TB Version?

ThomasHeinrichSchmidt commented 2 years ago

TB version 91.9.0, Build-ID 20220502180952 on Windows 10 Home 21H1 build 19043.1645

ThomasHeinrichSchmidt commented 2 years ago

Have you been able to reproduce this behavior? Do you consider that a bug, too?

Olifair commented 2 years ago

@ThomasHeinrichSchmidt don't know if this is still a problem for you, but with Nostalgy++ 3.6.1 and TB 91.11.0 on windows 10 pro, resizing is not a problem

ThomasHeinrichSchmidt commented 2 years ago

It indeed continues to be a problem for me. I have TB 91.11.0 and Nostalgy++ 3.6.1 (at least it reads in "Details": Neu in 3.6.1 - Anpassung an umfangreiche Änderungen in TB 102) running on Win 10 Home 21H1. I continue to be unable to resize the Search++ dialog. As soon as the most right buttons ("Suchen", "Neue Suche") hit the right window border I can no more drag the window to the right. The Search++ dialog will just not re-arrange its elements to allow for a smaller window size.

opto commented 2 years ago

can confirm, only when window size is reduced and when right part does not fit into the window. Same for you?

got this working somewhat. The folderlist is resizable, the top searchbox gets a scrollbar, so that you can scroll to the search button, but the message display area is not willing to show the scrollbar. So there, you see only the left part of the message body.

still, better than what we had before. I will upload that ca. tomorrow.

Tried to update through TB but no update available.

ThomasHeinrichSchmidt commented 2 years ago

TB upgraded to version 102.1.2, I'm not sure which version of N++ I have installed, it tells me

TB 102: v3.6.1 ist (noch) versteckt in 'andere Versionen'
Neu in 3.6.1
Anpassung an umfangreiche Änderungen in TB 102
Neu in 3.4.2

Anyhow resizing the Search++ dialog works exactly as before, i.e. I still cannot drag the right pane enough to be able to see my folder tree on the left side.

opto commented 2 years ago

I apologise, I forgot to upload the solution. It will be here on github first, not at ATN. Klaus

Latest release (maybe 3.6.1 don't know where to look for version number) does indeed now allow resizing the Search++ dialog, But - it does not relocate the three buttons on the right side of the window [help Search++] [Search] [New Search]. So if I shrink the right pane to make space for my folder list on the left side I'm no more able to press the buttons. In order to start a new search I have to enlarge the right pane, press [New Search] and then shrink the right pane again to be able to see my folders.
