statistical prediction as suggestions in popup #204

when hitting "S" (for example, also for all of the other keys G,B,C ), before typing anything in the folder completion box, a popup should display recently selected folders. This does not seem to work in my case, the list of folders shown are clearly not recent ones. But actually, a behaviour that I would find even better is, if this pop-up would suggest the X best hits of the statistical prediction (perhaps additionally to most recent folders). I have had a look in the nfpredict.sqlite database (using DB Browser for SQlite, thanks to another discussion on this forum) and I can see that for some email addresses I get very similar probabilities and number of cases for a few different folders. This reflects the reality, as for some senders, I have different folders, depending on the subject of our collaboration. The most used one turns up with SHIFT+S, but it would be great if the other ones would turn up in the popup box, so that with one or two hits on the up arrow I would be able to class these emails. Thanks a lot for all the work put into Nostalgy++

Cheers

Oliver

I think the recent folders are shown if spacebar is typed into the folder box

for the display of the statitical proposals, I will label this enhancement. The history comes when typing spacebar.

Hello Opto, thanks for putting this on your enhancement list. Concerning the history list : I don't know what the list after hitting space shows, but it is not a recent history of used folders. I have just sorted a dozen emails into seven different folders (using either S or Shift-S), and only two of these show up in the history-list aver hitting the space-bar. And only because they have been there already before. I have even stopped Thunderbird and restarted : the list is still exactly the same. I will check if the list is still the same tomorrow ..-) NostalgyHistorybeforesorting NostalgyHistoryaftersorting
