I'm using the Quick Folder Move extension. I click on "Quick Move" in the top toolbar and then type the name of a folder. This tool finds matching folder names.
So I went to type "reva" (the name of a friend) and the next thing I know is that a Nostalgy++ dialog pops up. Whoops! I guess that Nostalgy++ is triggered on the folder list that Quick Move shows. Ok, so I went to the Keys tab of the dialog and disabled every key. And I restarted the email program. The keys are not disabled and I still can't type "reva". I had to reassign the keys to get be able to use Quick Move.
Obviously, you can't be responsible for what every other extension does, so the fact that Nostalgy++ and Quick Move clash is not the problem I'm reporting. The problem I'm reporting is that disabling the shortcut keys didn't actually disable them.
Hmm...I'm totally confused. I went back and tried to enable one key. There was a disable option and if I clicked on that, it turned into "(disable)". The key was enabled anyway. I also didn't see any way to restore the default shortcut key bindings. And the one key I actually use ("G") was still interfering with Quick Move, so I'm disabling the extension for now.
