Same versions, and the same problem with erratic S key behaviour. It seems to work once to move a message from Inbox to a folder, and then not any more for a bit. I haven't figured out what resets it so that it works again. The problem occurs whether one or more messages are selected.
Using C to copy rather than move the selected message(s) the same folder works fine.
Having pressed Q, I can return to Inbox list of all messages by the workaround of selecting another folder, such as Drafts, and then again selecting Inbox. Obviously the previous method of pressing Q a second time, or ESC, is better.
I created a simple extension quickfilter-kbd (in compliance with the newest Thunderbird v3 manifest) that implements keyboard shortcuts for quick-filtering messages by sender, subject, or recipient. This together with the extension Move messages and yourself that implements keyboard shortcuts for searching folders and moving messages into them (plus skipping between them) completes my workflow. My issue is thereby solved, but without Nostalgy.
I used to press Q to select similar messages, S to move them to a specified folder, and then ESC to return to the unified Inbox. This does not seem to work anymore:
1) Pressing Q still selects similar messages, but pressing ESC does not return to the unified Inbox. 2) When viewing the selected similar messages after pressing Q and selecting some of them (or all), pressing S does not always move them to a specified folder. It seems to work only once and then not anymore. However, it still works in the unified Inbox.
How to make my workflow work again? Thanks!
I have version 4.1.2 on Thunderbird 115.4.1., and do not use any other plugins (although I tried installing and removing other plugins during the period when Nostalgy was not available).
