Packages missing from repos #39

Hi guys,

So far we are considering Oracle Linux as a viable option to replace CentOS. Presently we have two questions if you are able to assist:

  1. I don't think this centos2ol repo is the correct place for some Q&A, so is there any community forums, mailing list or sort where we can engage with other community members?
  2. We cannot find the fail2ban package in any repo for OL8. Maybe we're looking wrong, could you please confirm its availability? Thank you.

  2. fail2ban is in upstream EPEL. We are releasing ~80 EPEL packages per day, but there are several thousand in the repo. I will ask the build/QA team to prioritise fail2ban for OL8.

About 1 amazing I'll probably put my next questions there instead of here! About 2 prioritising fail2ban would be super we use it a lot and missing it on OL!

Great job you guys in putting OL up to speed for those coming from CentOS! Kudos!
