The grand canyon teleporting command worked, but putting any other coordinates leads me to the middle of nowhere

i was trying to get to new york citie's southern coastline using /tpll 40.701268 -74.015604, but theres no ocean, the land just keeps going. that command should have spawned me a few feet away from the coast but theres no recognizable landforms

It depends on which version of Terra121 that you're using, which other mods you have installed, and especially on the projection that you're utilizing. I would recommend the Dymaxion-edited one implemented by the BuildTheEarth project, if that's not what you're using already. At least for me, teleporting to that section of New York City works flawlessly.

When you create the world go to advanced options and make sure "spawn roads" and "advanced water" are both enabled. This is also where you set the projection but it shouldn't really mater which one you choose, it just changes how the world is distorted. If there is still a problem try sending a log and/or screenshots.
