Not compatible with Gnome 3.18 running Arch :/

fdinardo commented 9 years ago

Did you try to simply modify metadata.json adding "3.18" version and restart gnome-shell? vi /$HOME/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/touchpad-indicator@orangeshirt/metadata.json For me this works, but it is not a "best practice" because you are simply adding support for a gnome-shell version, but without checking if all works!

Sorry, but I stop the development of this extension, because I've no longer been using gnome shell. Perhaps someone other could help you or you could fix the issue by yourself. The hint from fdinardo could be a solution for you.

@fdinardo It was in there by default. How ever my gnome-shell --version shows 3.18.1 so I tried both adding it in and editing 3.18 to 3.18.1 - sadly nothing works. @orangeshirt Sorry to hear that. Offtopic: What are you using now and why did you swap if I may ask?

Thanks.

I'm using cinnamon the last years. The last point was that gnome has changed the Desktop behaviour.
