Image for Static Image not to be stored in the data #5439

This not unlike what the Explanatory Text does. This this:

Avoid having the image stored in every data captured with the form.
In cases where the Static Image is placed in a repeated grid/section, so new iterations created by the user show the same image.

+1 from customer for the second item above

The component will still be bound to a node, so it could first try to get the file from the resources, and if it can't find it there use the value of the bound node?

+1 from customer today. Just noting, but it would be really good to have this. Possibilities:

without bound node in data
with bound node in data (allows controlling relevance, and store data)
data stored
- in metadata: single image
- in resources: allows different images per language
- in data: backward compatibility
