PMEP (contact: Kate Sherman) has created a new spatial dataset of "restored areas" (specifically, restored tidal wetlands) on the West Coast. I reviewed the Oregon dataset in late May 2019, and it is reasonably accurate. The data should be used as a guide for correcting the diked/nondiked status of our Oregon CMECS data -- specifically, for these restored ares, the AI07 modifier should be removed if it is present.

The restoration sites that should be corrected using PMEP's data are the Southern Flow Corridor and Kilchis River restoration sites in the Tillamook Bay Estuary, and a small restored area called "Perrin" in the Coos Bay Estuary. All other restored areas mapped by PMEP were already classified as tidal wetlands in our Oregon CMECS data (i.e. they did not have the AI07 modifier in either the Aquatic Setting or Biotic Component layers).

Corrected polygons are contained in shapefile sent to Tanya and Andy on 9/17/19 (OR_tidal_wetland_loss_by_hab_class_20190912) -- see "Diked_YN" attribute for correct diking status, and "Correction" field for a description of the reason for the correction. These corrections may not be inclusive of all the restored areas in PMEP's dataset.
