Improvements

• [ ] Global string search
• [ ] Customized retrieval (inspect structure not content)
• [ ] Eliminate Non-Existent Characters
• [ ] Maintain Global Count of element types
• [ ] Normalize Whitespace

Some of these are going to take a bit of work with re-factoring the interfaces etc.
