I am a developer for the ArchAssault project, we would like to distribute this tool but it appears to be missing a license file. Can you please add a license file to it?

orf commented 10 years ago

Heya, I've added a MIT license to it, is that acceptable? Can you tell me more about how you would distribute the tool - will it be installed via pip or pulled directly from this git repository? Or maybe just a bundle consisting of the current version only?

Sure we will pull the latest src via its download url and install it via a pkgbuild. The pkgbuild will use pip to setup the tool in a fakeroot then its tarred up and the user can download the binary to install it on their box. They wont have to use pip at all as we will use it via the pkgbuild. Yes the MIT license is fine.

Thanks

Just to let you know, I am waiting on the dev for ipgetter to fix an issue once its done. We will add it to the repo.

It is possible to get a 0.7.1 release of this on pypi that includes the license, I d like to package it up and release it. I can do a git pull if needed, but its a pain a new release would be much appreciated.

Ok, done. 0.7.1 on PyPi includes the license in the metadata and the actual distribution
