Are you looking for an identification number for inclusion in IATI data? If so, I recommend you contact the IATI Helpdesk.

(On the matter of ID numbers in this income tax filing. I'm not sure what country this is from. I also noticed that the hand-written file ID number is very similar but not identical to the reference number in 'Your ref' at the top. That raises some questions about the reliability of this ID number as a unique identifier.)

Hi @kd-ods, many thanks for your prompt answer. @titiolukole is our new BA. I will help clarify the issue regarding this question. 2 images were uploaded and they seem to be as 1 document.

A Trust from Namibia is trying to register with IATI. After doing some research and discussions with the organisation we found that they are registered with the Minisry of Finance, Inland Revenue. However, as you notice there is a 1 digit difference in the Ref number in the two different documents, so we wanted to double check with you if this is something we could still use. In document 1 the nr is 4322-224-011 while in the other is 4822224-011 We could potentially ask for a 3rd document in case the organisation has one from the ministry to check what number is on that.

@titiolukole - I think it's your or the IATI helpdesk's call on whether or not 4322-224-011 is a reliable enough reference for this organisation. Regardless, you'll need to know whether such references are unique only at the regional office level, or whether no other organisation can be issued that reference by by other regional offices too. Then you can enter Namibia's Inland Revenue agency (or the Windhoek Regional Office) to org-id.
