duplicated simple products and prices do not carry to the cart #53

We use Magento Pro 1.10.0.1 .

When you go to Configurable Product X>>Associated Products>>Edit Associated Product>> add special price to the Associated Products >>Save/Close Window - duplicate (or near duplicate) Simple products are created and simple product prices are no longer carried to the cart when added to the cart.

This also seems to happen when editing the Simple Products directly and not through the Associated Products tab.

I get some problems with duplicating too.

I'm on magento community 1.6.0.0

When I duplicate a product, I get issues with the images. The image for a duplicated product do not appear in the cart when you add them. Also in product view, the images will load for duplicate products however they seem to break out of the default image zoomer box and just load full size and break the layout.
