It is impossible to find a car parking when many bicycle and motorbike parkings are nearby #5598

Typing "parking" finds/shows on the map all types of parking now. Nobody needs to see/find all types of parking. Car drivers need parking for their cars, cyclists — for their bikes, etc.

There are several ideas for the fix:

It would be great to suggest "car parking" or "bicycle parking" instead of "parking for cars" and "parking for bicycles", but it will require a refactoring of our suggestions code.

Use "parking" for cars only, but hint "parking for bicycles", etc. as suggestions (will suggestions always starting from "parking ..." work for all languages?)

I strongly oppose making parking for cars the default. This is a car-centric design which adds barriers for all other forms of transport while inducing a demand for driving.

Typing parking can suggest "parking for cars", "parking for bicycles", etc. (requires additional suggestion-click action)

I think this is a good solution to use until we have dedicated map layers for bicycling, driving, etc.

Guess parking type from the map style (driving, cycling, but what about motorcycles and scooters?)

Bicycles, and scooters share parking infrastructure. Motorcycles and cars share parking infrastructure, aside from micro mapping of dedicated motorcycle parking (at least where I live). We could guess parking type once the mode of transport has already been selected. Or, once we get dedicated layers for different transport modes.
