Reach bookmarks in single tap

Problem

To reach a bookmark, I have to tap the star button and then tap 'My Places' and then select the bookmark. Additional tap could be avoided and save time when trying to route.

Solution

On clicking the star button, Show the list of bookmarks in 'My Places' and then more options like, new list, import, export.

While some may like to create multiple bookmark list, I think most of us would just have one list. the current list page is mostly empty. Instead it could show the actual bookmarks to reach them faster

Many people use more than one list of bookmarks for many reasons. Importing any existing track for example immediately creates a second list.

The UI likely can be simplified for cases with only one list, when users do not need more than one list. But how to design it properly, so others, who need more than one list, won't struggle?

How about something like below? It is not any worse for those who use multiple lists. I am suggesting to use the empty space to put something useful, i.e. items from the first (aka default) list. Assuming the screen can hold up to 10 items

I'm thinking of "pinning" favorite bookmarks out of their list at the top-level. Those could be manually set as home/work or be something else...

Or a long-tap on the bookmarks button on the main screen can show radial/recently used bookmarks? A search button can show recent searches?
