Default heading for new note #210

Summary

There is already functionality for creating new notes in a specified notebook by default -- e.g. when pressing the + button in the agenda widget.

It would be lovely to also be able to specify a default heading within that notebook. Alternatively, having a direct UI option for refiling a note while creating it would allow for something similar.

Thanks for your consideration!

With default heading you mean the title being pre-filled?

I think at some place we were discussing this also for the note's content, i.e., very simple capture templates.

@stefan2904 I believe what you are describing is a capture template, but OP may be describing how a new note (created with the New Note functionality, like what is available by long pressing the app icon or on the agenda widget) could be captured underneath an existing header/sub tree. Currently, the New Note creates a new header as a top-level item within the file and the desired state is to have it as a sub-level item under a specific heading.

@RomeoV let me know if I described your feature right. I would like a feature like that, because I use a subtree called "Inbox" within my todo.org for capturing items (which I configured to capture directly to on my desktop install). On mobile, using the new note feature saves the capture to a top-level item within the todo.org, but not under the Inbox heading. It would help my use case to directly capture new notes to that subtree from the jump -- my current solution is to refile it after saving the capture.

Ach, yes, makes sense. Actually, both would be cool. :-)
