It's hard to draw the line here what to pull from the Settings (or worse - duplicate). I don't think it's per Material design either, which next version is trying to follow for the drawer. (I don't consider that second argument too strong though.)
I was actually thinking about removing Settings
(and Sync
for that matter) from top right menu at one point. I think it should remain in the drawer, as it's one of the major "navigation destinations" in the app.
Again Material design aside, yeah, I think that would be useful, as notebook list could get out of control.
This could probably use a separate issue. It has been requested in the past.
Thanks!
The sidebar layout can be take a reference as following screenshot, captured from Solid Explorer.
Hey everyone!
I'm submitting a feature request.
In general: I think that sidebar must be highly customizable.
I think it would be very convenient to have
toggle day/nigt
button at the bottom of left panel. There is enough space to place few small buttons in line (maybe even customizable) such assync
,toggle day/night
,toggle monospace
, etc.Also, on my opinion,
Settings
button at the bottom of the sidebar eats a lot of vertical space. I don't use it every day and there is one more in the top right menu.I would be happy to see
Notebooks
,Searches
and their subtrees foldable.Apps like Things, Todoist, Wunderlist usually have
Tags
button. It's not convinient to create a search query for every new tag.Lets discuss :)
