Question: Can I delete Orgzly, reinstall, and NOT loose my data? [Upgrade not working] #613

[x] I have searched for existing issues that may be the same as or related to mine.

Again, I can not upgrade Orgzly. See my earlier ticket here https://github.com/orgzly/orgzly-android/issues/533

I can not upgrade via:

Aurora store ( an updated clone of the Google store)
F-droid
via sideloading

In each case, an error "Conflicting app exists" is returned.

So: Can I

delete my Orgzly app
not loose my data
install the updated app
have all my data

I am stuck on 1.7.3. I have force-stopped it (it isn't running). Can not upgrade to 1.7.9

I've posted a comment there.

You need to setup a repository (perhaps using a directory on your device) and sync all your notebooks with it. Make sure each notebook has "Saved to ..." in Notebooks list's (i) line.

You'll lose your settings after deleting the app though.

Is there a way to export and import the configuration? Can that be taken as an enhancement request if not?
