I also need this in my workflows. When adding note via any quick add tool I want to either preconfigure headline or enter it (former is better). Also very useful would be to add notes with datetree structure.
I volunteer to develop this functionality, let's discuss details!
I had mentioned this in issue #80, but considering the two different issues I'm moving over here!
Here's my post detailing my use case:
I have a Commonplace.org where I put the bulk of my notes in. Large categories such as programming and books have their own level 1 headings, underwhich they contain their own projects or subjects.
What I would love is to give each category their own Level 2 capture heading, under which I can capture things directly to that are related to the category's topic to refile later. So when I'm about to work on progrming things, I can refile a few of the programming's captures to their appropriate places as well, without dealing with anything off-topic that I may not be up to dealing with right then.
However as it currently stands, I can only capture to a file as a top-level header, requiring me to have a seperate capture file to go through (which is, as far as I understand, is the norm).
I hope this helps! Again, while organice's full blown templating was nice, it's only this feature that I truly feel the pain of losing.
Hi everyone. Any news on this topic? It would be really nice to be able to specify a notebook and a heading to store the information shared with Orgzly in Android. The Default note configuration option looks like the place, but I have not been able to make it work. All your help is really appreciated.
So in orgmode I have capture template, that creates a todo under a specific headline in the notebook. In Orgzly I can only choose default notebook, but not headline in that notebook. New feature?
