Clocking note writing (or better speaking) time and auto saving as tag, example :1m22s: #869

Thanks for developing this. I just started testing orgzly on Android a bit, using speaking instead of typing as much faster for recording quickly some ideas you do not want to forget. All working great so far.

Then I thought, if you would like to train for presentations, lectures, stories or explanations in general and want to test yourself how long you required to explain some part of your presentation for example, an automatic time clocking feature for the "note writing/speaking process" could be useful. The required time could be saved as a tag for example in a format similar as used in Youtube, something like: :1m19s:

This way you could train and train and train, trying to explain it in longer or shorter time, depending on what your goal is.

Is this already possible somehow? Using certain tricks maybe? And if not, what do you think of this use case scenario or feature? I would use this permanently for sure. Now I am seeing the spoken words, but the required time I would need to clock myself, having it directly in orgzly saved as tag would make it perfect from workflow point of view. Thanks friends. Keep up the great work and keep fresh ideas coming. :+1:

Hi

You are referring to a Timer , not Clocking . A timer would effectively be great to take notes while listening or watching something.

I imagine a notification with a timer, like this but with a pause button:
