Make Android keyboard pop up automatically when using the shortcut to create a new note #932

When the (homescreen) shortcut is used to add a new Orgzly note, the dialog pops up with the cursor in the 'Title' field but it takes an extra tap inside the field to bring up the keyboard. Since every note requires a title, it would make sense to have the keyboard pop up automatically and save user the need for the extra tap in the 'Title' field.

Many thanks!

Thanks for chiming in. Having inevstigated the issue more closely, it remains unreliable for me. When I put the shortcut on my home screen, it works the first time I open a new note after in a long time. However, when I use the Android 'back' command to get rid of the screen without saving the note, then on re-using the shortcut on the home screen, the keyboard will not pop up.

Also, when I use the shortcut via a floating button launcher that I prefer, the keyboard never pops up. Maybe something could be done about making this more reliable when the dialog / input screen called previously is not ended by saving the note?

Cheers!
