Can you please give us (me) another APK (preferably with a different color icon) to install side by side main Orgzly. I would be very grateful.

Another benefit in my case is faster load times because each app would work with smaller database size.

Thank you

This seems a little bit like it is working against the grain with the spirit of org files. One of its advantages compared to other systems is that it combines the task of note taking with task management so that you don't use separate applications for it. Maybe you would be better served by using a separate system?

Regardless, you can create saved searches that filter based on whether or not it is a todo item (i.e. with ~i.todo~).

I think a better version of what you are asking for is to have some kind of "profiles" feature, which would enable you to switch between sets of org files. This would allow people to have one profile for work and another profile for personal life. So you can turn off work files when you're not working. Ideally they could just be sets of files that you toggle and can enable multiple at the same time (cuz you might still want to see personal stuff while working).

@BitPuffin Consider the following problems:

  1. With tasks, I use priority and dates. With notes, I don't.
  2. Tasks use widgets. Notes don't
  3. Search queries become exponentially more complicated when dealing with both task/notes notebooks. For example, for every new notebook I add, I need to exclude it from ALL saved searches and also regular searches.
  4. Settings like "Display content" are different for tasks and notes.

Profiles seem interesting but I don't think they solve these problems.
