There is an underwater wall to the right of the start of the Kwolok's escape leading to UpperPools which you are supposed to break by using WaterDash.
This wall can also be broken by using other abilities such as Shuriken but since the wall is so far away from the water surface you can only get one tick of damage per shuriken, which means you'll need more energy in order to break that wall with Shuriken than what BreakWall assumes.
