A gas lighter might do the trick; inspired by this: https://thehackerdiary.wordpress.com/2017/05/24/lightning-detector-with-nothing-but-a-headphone-jack/
Random infos: rPi lighting detector that tweets
The electric field of the radio waves emitted by cloud-to-ground lightning discharges is mainly oriented vertically, and thus the magnetic field is oriented horizontally.
Would having a second fulmenometer oriented vertically (eg. as part of the gas sensor PCB) improve detection of CC and IC sferics?
In order to fully utilise the lightning detector, I need controlled testing environment to test triangulation, etc.
How the heck do I create controlled lightning?
