Copy Password To Clipboard - Copies Username #141

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Unlock DB
2. Navigate to entry (this puts two "copy" options on the pull-down menu
3. Selected "Copy Password to Clipboard"
4. Paste from the clipboard
5. Username is pasted (not Password as selected in item 3)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected it to copy my password to the clipboard, not my username. Selecting
"Copy Username to Clipboard" works as expected, copying the username to the
clipboard.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
KeePassDroid v.1.8.6.4
Android 2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
When I open an entry on my Moto Droid 1, the username and password are
added to the top pull-down menu for quick and easy copy to clipboard
for pasting into other apps. I use this all the time.

It appears that both the username and password entry are filled with
only by username. Clicking on "Copy Password to Clipboard" actually
puts my username on the clipboard.

Within the KeePassDroid app, clicking the "Copy Password" menu item
properly copies my password into the clipboard.

Used to work fine before the latest update (last week or so?)

Thanks!

I've just submitted a similiar problem, except that it's always copying the
password, not the username. Perhaps it's the first item copied to the clipboard
that's getting "stuck"? (I usually type the username and copy the password).

Strange. I am not able to reproduce this at all. You can consistently reproduce
this?

Quite consistently. It's making paste from the notification bar quite unusable
in fact. I am using a kdbx database if that matters. I'm also having to unlock
the database pretty much every time I switch to keepass, but I don't know that
that matters. What I've noticed is that it seems to paste the first item copied
to the clipboard from the notification bar after loading the program for the
first time. In other words, it works the first time you use it after a reboot
(copying and pasting username or password), but subsequent copies use the same
value no matter what entry is open.

Is this still happening? I was never able to reproduce it.

I've got a similar problem: everytime I open a file to look for a password the
password is copied automatically ant about three seconds later the username is
copied. At least it says this in a notification. Butit is not copied at all.
In this memory is still something else, which i've copied earlier. I've got the
latest version (14th January 2014)
