Database format not recognised

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open Keepass for android on HTC Desire
2.Attempt to open kdbx file transferred from my PC
3.database format not recognised

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
DB opens / DB does not open

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2:14 on the PC. 1.8.6.4 on the Droid 2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
Having been using Keepass successfully on my PC and Winmo phone for years.
Cannot get Keepass for Droid to recognise the PC's KDBX file.
Any clues on a fix?

.kdbx files created in KeePass 2.14 are working for me. Could you send me a 
.kdbx file that exhibits this behavior?

I have a similar problem with Sony tablet on Jellybean 4.2 and keepassdroid 
1.99.10. My pc keepass .kdb file throws up the "Database format not recognised".
I don't see a solution to your post above???
