I have the opposite problem. Keepass is ignoring the setting of the "Save
keyfile" application setting. I have it unchecked, and it still remembers the
keyfile location. Same is true for "Use this as my default database" checkbox,
though I personally don't care about that one. Android 2.2, keepassdroid
1.9.1, installed on sd card.

This is very annoying problem. My Keepass also does not remember keyfile
location. Android 2.1 HTC Wildfire + Dropbox

I'd also find this feature very helpful as I use a key. Please add it!
I have also found a related bug, which this feature would allow me to avoid:
If the key file is located in a directory with a space, for example "My
Documents", KeePassdroid replaces the space with %20. If you then attempt to
use the key it fails. The path to the key has to be manually edited and the
%20 replaced with a space character.
If I could save the key path, I wouldn't need to navigate to the key and fix
the '%20' each time.
