Keeping Program Active

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select "Never" for Application Timeout in Application Settings
2. Hit Home key
3. Program will close after a certain amount of time. Unsure how long.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the program to remain open and active until I close it manually. 
Instead it closes on its own.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Keepass 1.9.3.1
Android 2.2 on Samsung Captivate

Please provide any additional information below.
As I recall before the OS version was updated to 2.2 the option worked as 
expected i.e. the program stayed open.  After the OS update to 2.2 it began 
exhibiting this behavior

It's possible Android is closing the application.  If so, it's an interesting 
problem to solve.  Ignoring security requirements for the moment, the program 
could cache the decrypted db.

I can't control this very much. However, I have made a change so that it will 
try to remember your database password longer when you select Never for 
timeout. See if this helps.

Thanks for trying but that didn't do anything.  It seems that the program exits 
when the phone goes to sleep.  When I unlock the phone the program has closed.  
Is this a Samsung issue do you think or endemic to Android?
