copy username/password no longer works from notification bar #218

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open keepass
2.search for item
3.select item
4. Swtich to another program
5. Select copy username or password from notification bar

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the username or password selected to be pasted but instead I get the
last text copied to the clipboard. This started happening with one of the last
updates.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version of keepass from android market and android is 2.2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm using an original Motorola Droid. If I select copy username or password
from the keepass menu it works fine but it no longer works from the
notification bar.

I'm not able to reproduce this. Do you still see this?

With the last update or so, when I switch apps, the notifications completely go
away for me. This prevents me from using copy-paste, because some apps reset
the login fields when you task switch (or if low memory closes app).

I am seeing the same issue since I moved to a new device. Worked fine on my
droid 1 running Liquid ROMs.

Now I am on a Droid X2 running stock unrooted android 2.3.4 with KeePass 1.9.5.
It will create the notifications and when I tap them they drop me back to the
program, but do not update the clipboard. A long press and paste just gets
whatever was previously copied.

I use KeePass heavily and would be happy to help test.

Me too (Droid 3), however it does not happen all the time. For instance, it
assisted me logging in here, but not onto my ISP.

Let me know if you need more data points

Same issue happens to me for some time now.

Using KeepassDroid version 1.99.7.2 on a Huawei Ideos X3 (u8510) device. Custom
rom (CM_7.2_Extended_V2) with Android version 2.3.7.
Don't know if it is relevant but using Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus
(v2.0.4993).

I'm experiencing the same issue.

KeePassDroid 1.99.10
Android 2.3.6
Huawei Ascend Y100(U8185)
No antivirus or security software

The application is completely unusable right now and this bug is getting worse
with every new version. Will it ever be fixed?

Since I originally posted this issue I'm now on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus
(previous was Motorola Droid). I still have this happen occasionally but not
all the time. I don't know a pattern yet that causes it. It works most of the
time but on occasion when I click the username or password in the notification
bar it will not copy and just pastes the previously copied text. If I actually
go into KeePass and use the copy username or password from the menu that seems
to always work so it appears the notification copy is the issue. It seems may
even it happens after I've had my phone up along time and or running a lot of
stuff. If I reboot that seems to fix everything. I'll post if I learn anything
new.

Same problem on Galaxy Note 2 When entry is selected from KeePass database,
copy user and password icons appear on notification bar. When URL for site is
clicked and device goes to site using internet app, icons on notification bar
go away. I think this started happening at Android 4.3 update.

Bonjour
J'ai un problème avec keepassdroid lorsque je clique sur une URL, le nom d'utilisateur et le mot de passe n'apparaissent plus dans la barre de notification.

Confirming same problems. KeepassDroid 2.0, Moto G 4.4.4

Copy from notification doesn't work, and switching to browser and back restarts
Keepass and closes DB each time, even after one-second switch.
Almost useless like that. I have to enter my [quite long] master password twice
- first to copy the name directly from the card, second time - to copy the
password.
