Unable to open databases with € in the password

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a database with the € symbol in the password with Keepass or 
KeepassX
2. Do not use any key file
3. Try to open it with keepassdroid

What is the expected output?
The database being opened

What do you see instead?
"Invalid password or key file" 

What version of the product are you using?
keepassdroid 1.9.6

On what operating system?
Android 2.2.1

Please provide any additional information below.
I attach a kdb empty file, use 1234€ as the password to open it.
Get back to me if you need any further information or if I you need me to run 
any tests.

Since no one has seemed to look at this I'll give it a shot and see what 
happens.

BIONIC, custom ROM (ICS4BIONIC, nee CM9 SelfKang Unofficial) is my device.  I 
also have an older DROID (original) that is running 2.2.x that I can try it on 
- it may be the OS itself....

I've got your file - let me lay around with it.  Of course, my BIONIC comes 
with Swype, so I'll also try with the default Android KB.
