"Database format not recognized" #272

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.KeePassDroid first page: "Enter a password and/or a key...
2.I created a password and clicked "ok"
3.Get message "Database format not recognized"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Output should be password created and move on to start

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Downloaded KeepassDroid from Market on my VZ Galaxy Nexus w/ICS.

Please provide any additional information below.
I have Keepad in my PC with no problems whatsoever. Also have Dropbox on both PC and Galaxy Nexus, which I intend to use to sync Keepass between both devices.

Did you try re-copying your Database?

I use KP 2.x on Windows, and just connect my phone and synchronize from
computer to phone, since KPD cannot edit 2.x files.

Works without a hitch every time.

I had exactly the same issue on ICS (GS2). I fixed this by installing v1.23 on
Win7 (previously had v1.18) and re-saving the database. I assume there were
some database format modifications made to the newer KeePass apps.

I have a similar issue. I use kp 2.22 on Windows 7 and KPD is most recent
version available on Android market. When I plug my phone in via USB and copy
the .kdbx file over, then unplug the phone and try to open the .kdbx file, I
get a "toast" saying "Database format not recognized."

nkya, you say you use 2.x on Windows and KPD cannot edit 2.x files. So how do
you synchronize between the two "without a hitch"? Thanks.

Correction: my error message is "Filetype is not supported!" Also, I tried the
compression fix to no avail (GZip vs. none).

I have received the same issues stated in post #3 and post #4. I am unable to
open database files on the android platform from Windows 7 via USB transfer.
Have tried .KDB and KDBX. I have also tried GZip and no compression.

When I try to save directly to my phone from KeePass, I get an error stating I
have no access, though the phone is open and connected.
