Echo Dot V2 only discovers 16 alexa local nodes #81

I have spent some time trying to get reasonably large (approx 26) lightwave RF devices working using Alexa local nodes. It seems there is a limit of 16 devices. If I forget all and discover again it will add adifferent set of 16 nodes. The ones that are connected show up with a yellow dot under the node and a message of the form /lights (p38373).

The ones that are not discovered show up with a green button and the message of the form online (P37456)

If I discover again Alexa's list of devices will increase slightly but I only ever seem to have 16 working devices at any one time. After th second discover there will be 2 or 3 more reporting offline on the Alexa admin page.

The other devices outside of node red such as Harmony hub and woox wifi control sockets are always discovered correctly

Is there a quick fix or anything I can edit to sort this? I am an engineer but not a JS or linux expert - can usually find my way around things.

Cheers Coppo

Same Problem: 16 of 25 devices are listet online at https://alexa.amazon.de/spa/index.html#appliances New Devices will be found, sometimes a second third try may help, but existing devices will be skipped then. I guess it's a Alexa-Problem ;-(

cant confirm that. got 21 active devices. i'm scanning for new devices only with the amazon app on an android smartphone

It seems it was an Alexa problem, all 25 devices are online since last saturday.

I have been using Alexa home with about 30 devices and that works perfectly.

I am too, over 16 devices already, but i am using 4 Echo Dot at home. As I know 1 Alexa-Local node is equal to 1 Philips Hue HUB, I just want to know how many Hue-hub an Echo device can handle.

@coppo86 May I know how many Echo Device do you have at the same network?

I’m not sure this will help but: I am running one echo dot and one echo plus. The Plus has a hue hub in it though I only have one real Phillips Hue device. I guess my setup has 2 hue hubs – the Alexa-local and the one in the plus. Either echo is quite happy controlling any device on either hub. I have not yet tried adding the echoplus hub to node-red.
