Window border colour on Xubuntu 12.04 #2

I am not sure what is, actually, a bug, but on my Xubuntu 12.04 with darkcold theme active window border is shown with strong orange: 1 I think that this colour is too bright for this theme. I've set bg[SELECTED] to #312000 and in my opinion it looks pretty nice! 2

sorry, I've got a patch, but how to submit it to the thread?

I've seen this colour but only in Chromium, I think. I also use XFCE so maybe it's something specific to that. The xfwm theme isn't present in this repository though.

You can't attach patches in the traditional sense. You need to fork the repository and commit to it. You can then convert this to a pull request using the GitHub command line tool that I've forgotten the name of. Or just create a new pull request.

bg[SELECTED] = "#FFA500" # window that needs attention

As described, this is used in gnome2/mate to change the color of a button on the panel when window needs attention ... blink the button blinks/fades-in and off. If you use a different theme for window borders, there should not be any problems.

In some cases bg[SELECTED] will be used by other applications, like chromium, but that can be overwriten in chromiums settings "Use system title bar and borders"

This is the theme for XFCE http://xfce-look.org/content/show.php/DarkCold?content=148515
