my exchange server had issues with tls as smtp. Good idea to have this option in there as well.

I do not like this because it removes TLS for all users. My exchange server supports TLS fine and I only want to use TLS. I expect mutt to refuse TLS with a server that does not support it or has bad certificates. Your change breaks my expectation.

TLS is omnipresent and easy these days, so I'd rather not.
