revert scrolling effect, and fade in/out controller

is it possible to bring to front the second controller instead of pushing up the first one? and how can I use didScrollDiffrenceRate to fade in/out the current controller? I tired but both the current controller and the new one are affected by the new alpha value.. Thanks
