make translations work for ANYONE in the world! #189

not sure what they would entail, and not sure how translations are done now.

Hi ! I don't know if this is the right issue to comment on, but I don't see anymore the French translations in the backend. Our site is still displaying everything in French, so I guess our work is not lost (I really hope not :D ).
