Support for building rpms from git for ostree based images #1361

This is a feature proposal to allow build RPMs from a git repo and install them into rpm-ostree images such as RHEL 4 Edge and Fedora IoT.

The procedure should allow to build several RPMs based in git subdirs or modules, to avoid creating one repo per RPM.

Do you mean that the git repos would contain spec files that would be made into RPMs using mock and or build rpm? Or do you mean that we'd just put the contents of the git repo into an RPM as a glorified tar file and install it all in some directory? If the latter, why do the detour via RPM?
