@amykirschner : should these updates be limited to open offers? It is a general section and applies to all of the site (except admin side).

currently it has 3 states

• if it is the groups page, no link (user is logged in)
• otherwise (user logged in) they will get to their default group (ex: group 1
• if not logged in - root of app (https://stormy-cove-staging.herokuapp.com)

If it needs to be separate behavior, I can duplicate it make the changes with little effort.

yes - sorry for not being clear. this issue as I wrote it applies only to 'not logged in' state.

Fine as is for logged in states.
