I use tim thumb and i am very happy with it. I only have a question. Can 
something be done to make it use less CPU time in a GS host with media temple? 
It used 10% of what i have allowed in the contract in 2 days :) We get a lot of 
traffic, because its a new wordpress theme, so it might not be possible but any 
advice is good. As a bottom line we got 4.000.000 hits to timthumb in 2 days 
and it did really good :) Thanks and congrats on a great job :) LOVE IT!!

TimThumb is a dynamic script - it will always be slower than using a normal 
image. I am very keen to make it quicker, and less resource intensive. If I 
could make it quicker then I would, however I have reached the extent of my 
knowledge. If anyone else can offer more suggestions for speeding it up then 
I'd love to hear them.

Also please make sure to use the latest version as there have been a number of 
optimisations this year.
