It has not been implemented yet, but I agree that the singles normalization can be performed the way you suggest!

Isn't this somewhat contrasting you idea of when to use the average from gammas vs the SP spectra?

Huh, seems like I might have my logic all mixed up😅 Anyways, could be good to keep the issue open since the feature probably should be implemented at some point :)

When the nucleus has a long lived isomer there might be issues using the average gamma-ray multiplicity to estimate the population cross section. In these cases the single particle spectra could be more appropriate to use. I cannot see if this has been implemented yet, but I guess it's fairly easy as one could bypass the multiplicity estimation and use a
Vector
with the SP excitation spectra.
