Population cross-section for First Generation matrix #177

When the nucleus has a long lived isomer there might be issues using the average gamma-ray multiplicity to estimate the population cross section. In these cases the single particle spectra could be more appropriate to use. I cannot see if this has been implemented yet, but I guess it's fairly easy as one could bypass the multiplicity estimation and use a Vector with the SP excitation spectra.

It has not been implemented yet, but I agree that the singles normalization can be performed the way you suggest!

I haven't thought about it very thoroughly, but here's a remak also from the thesis of Ann-Cecilie Larsen (2008, UiO) image

Isn't this somewhat contrasting you idea of when to use the average from gammas vs the SP spectra?

Huh, seems like I might have my logic all mixed up😅 Anyways, could be good to keep the issue open since the feature probably should be implemented at some point :)

Thanks😊
