Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail shield #789

The Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail is a National Scenic Byway across northern Ohio. Most of it is concurrent with the Lake Erie Circle Tour (#569), but it has its own distinctive shield featuring a lighthouse and bird inside a wordmark. This will be a challenging shield to design at around 20×20 pixels.

Unfortunately, the route is currently tagged as an Ohio state route with the number “LET”. (This abbreviation is never used outside of OSM.)

The route’s long name is usually abbreviated as either “LECT” or “LECO”, so either network=US:OH:LECT or network=US:OH:LECO would be better alternatives. The Lake Erie Circle Tour, which is also abbreviated ”LECT”, is currently tagged as network=GLCT ref=LECT. For the legend, a Wikidata item is ready to be tagged with whatever OSM tag we decide on.

Apparently this acronym was my own doing several years ago. Changeset 132,523,284 retags the route relation as network=US:OH:LECO.
