„footway=sidewalk without highway=path” reported for an object with highway=path #381

I think that in addition to wrong message - footway=sidewalk is correct in this case

I keep footway=sidewalk + highway=path as an issue.

So how combined, unsegregated footway and cycleway should be tagged? AFAIK highway=path + bicycle=designated + foot=designated +segregated=no is considered as the best tagging.

In general I think that validator warning should never appear for known valid tagging.

I don't know! Show me some references, wiki pages... Osmose should only enforce established rules.

https://github.com/BikeOttawa/OSM-Bike-Ottawa-Tagging-Guide says highway=path, segregated=no is used for combined paths. (no mention of bicycle=designated + foot=designated)

Is it deployed or still waiting for deployment? I still see this problem - for example http://osmose.openstreetmap.fr/en/error/22074326651
