perhaps something shorter and impressing.... like for example "RoOSMI" xD

Alternatives: Like some other osm projects we could derive a name from latin or greek monstrator -> signpost tabula -> map via -> way

hermes - protection god of way, traffic and wanderes (and other things) hekate - goddess of magic, necromancy, spook and wait for it ... crossroads

my favorit is hekate because we use a lot of magic to summon osm data from the otherworld to send it via spooky xml to anyone asking, so that he or she can find the right crossroad :D hekate is also the guard between the "worlds" witch kind of fits

we could find a nice acronym one of the above
