Idea: Include name= tag #2

For POIs with an amenity/shop/tourism/healthcare/leisure/craft/office tag, include name=* at the start of the address. (The business name will often be used in lieu of any housename / number.) [suggested by a couple of people so far]

This one would be an easy change to make but I have concerns about doing so in case it encourages people to start adding recipients names into OSM. It's also unclear if this assumption should be made when writing out OSM tags onto an envelope so would need some checking / community discussion.

I would say that you only include the name= tag in the address if you've got a primary tag in the list in the initial post, where it's clear that the name= value corresponds to the name of the amenity, shop, etc. (If you're worried about names of people in any documentation, perhaps make a distinction between business addresses and residential addresses.)

I've raised the question of whether name=* should be considered as part of the address over on talk-GB earlier this evening. First reply notes that's it's a "grey area" which pretty much sums up where I am on this too. Let's see how the discussion goes before deciding on any action.
